5-27-11 Thoughts

So I'm thinking I'd really like to start blogging. Kind of a good the bad the ugly type. (Hence the name). I'd like to write about what made me happy, what stressed me out, and maybe just something random and funny to joy about or something that I could post about that makes it like-see? It could always be worse. I like the idea of posting what makes you happy everyday because it makes it concrete in your mind. I stole the idea from my former math teacher, Mrs Balwanz (now Wilson) on her Wednesday Loves blog.

So maybe I'll start here:
8:17 pm Barnes and Noble
COFFEE COFFEE COFFEE COFFEE

SO: The good:
Today has been good. I have been saving up errands (post office, pharmacy, returning borrowed movies, wmart needs, oil change) for when I NEEDED to go out because of GAS! With gas nearing $4 a gallon, with my honda being a sturdy V-6, it'll cost me $8 round trip just to check my mail in FARMINGTON! Sooo... when Mom got home in a grumpy mood from checking cows with Dad, I decided I needed to get out of the house too, and she needed to go with me :) I hadn't been to Fayetteville since SUNDAY! So, we rand errands with the sunroof open and some bluegrass pumpin through the speakers. Then when I got home, I wanted more "city energy" and got dressed up (shaved legs, dress, red lipstick (holycowwhoami) )and headed to Barnes and Noble! Ha! On a Friday night. I know. I'm such a loser.

So: What I'm Lovin:
- Barnes and Noble: This is my poor man's beach. I come here with my journal (where every post will be copied from), a book, and pay my bills and get high off caffeine- something I have kicked other than the occasional coffee or Diet Pepsi at the ever delicious Taco Bell :)
-BBT (Big Bang Theory): Reruns! I have somehow missed a bunch this season and am glad we've got a season of reruns. I always look forward to Thursday. Monday sucks. Tuesday Sucks. Wednesday is ok, because the next day is Thursday. Then who doesn't love Friday, Saturday, and after church and lunch Sunday nap? I also love Jimmy Kimmel Live, How I Met Your Mother that comes on at midnight? and the Nate Berkus show that lullaby me to sleep every morning.
-Mom usually wakes me up for the day (at 2pm or later no doubt) with her keyboard playing. She has hit every note since she started playing in rehab last May when we brought her keyboard to her. It's a nice wakeup chime for Hugo and I. We are bums ok? So sue us. :)
-June: my mare has been behaving ME and I finally got her to load!!!! Dad was cursing her and going to get rid of her, but IIIIIIII got her to load in the trailer without a fit! :) Now to work with saddling and riding her... Am I destined to have ornery pets?!
-The weather: I love the rain! I love the storms! I love the sunroof weather! I hate the HEAT! I am soooo a winter, snow, avalanche, frost bite person! AND our A/C is out. Woo! Come on Dollar General $8 fan!

The Ugly:
So we should find out Tuesday aboout Dad's prostate results. I think the rest of us are good. We were approved for another month of therapy and hoping they continue that for MOM! We've really been working with her on the sidelines!

I'm so happy Mikey was ok and his siser was safe and his house had minimal damage! Praying for all the JOPLIN area and residents/victims. Hoping to go up there sooooon to help and take pictures. Mikey's plant opened back up and he's covering a lot of shifts so he's MIA.

I want to end with bible verse/funny anecdote (sp?)/ prayer request. The only one close to me is the one from a church bulletin that I am copying in my journal and expanding the sermon notes from.
