So I'm really getting sick of Facebook. I feel like there is nothing but gripers and store advertisements. I may delete it so I'm hoping that you are reading my blog ad catch up on all the funniness. Is that a word? Auto correct says so.
Anyways I haven't posted the sushi making blog yet bc a) I haven't had time to make any sushi!!! There is a site, I believe its called makemysushi.com. It should give you some pointers and how to's if you are waiting impatiently.
So I guess I need to catch you up to speed huh?
I'm still working at a private Christian pre-school in Springdale. I HATE when people call it a daycare. Really bothers me bc it is such a classroom setting! It is a school! I teach alllll day and there is no hey let's pop in a movie and take a break. No tv. No movies. No breaks. My 2.4 year olds know shapes, colors, abc's and can count to ten in English, Spanish, and French and are almost almost potty trained. If Elmo is involved in the day, it's bc IIIII have made the Elmo voice. Not to toot my own horn. I've had GREAT help and support. I'm not there for the income, rather the income.
So ya I still work there and I still live at home. I'm 2 months shy of having been at home for a year. I don't know which is more stressful sometimes. The 4 months I lived in ICU with mom, or the 10 months I've lived at home. True story. My dad and I just CLASH! If youre reading this, you probably already know.
Mom is doing really well. Her emotions and state of mind and peace have really improved over this last year. I know having Robert and I under the same roof has really helped that. I don't think she'll ever drive again???, but she's more or less independent. Idk if we'd all go to Tulsa to the drag strip (which they tore down- I tell you with genuine tears in my eyes) like we used to, but she's more or less ok by herself. She has left the oven on and burnt a loaf of bread in the last few months, but hey, haven't we all done that at one point? The difference is, I don't know if mom could make the association that the burning smell and the oven being on were correlated. Maybe but maybe not. So until then, we take turns on the weekends and she is still able to go to her speech and memory therapies mandated to her.
Let's skip boys. Boys are stupid. Except my baby brother whom I love so much. Good thing he's sweet and cute though, that boy is a mess!
Ok so I have to tell you some really cute stories about my now ex class of two year olds. Here in a couple of weeks, I'll have 2 10 month olds for a couple months. Bittersweet.
Anyways:
Me: come here baby girl. We gotta put your princess pull up on.
Lex: princess? Lexi is a princess.
Me: yup. Lexi is a princess. All my little girls are.
Lexi: bailey is a princess.
Me: yup. Bailey is a princess too.
Lex: amber a princess.
Me: no Miss Amber is a queen. Let's get that straight right now.
Also, I know I'm a good teacher when some of them request Tanya Tucker songs at nap time right? Right?!?!

I am so blessed y'all. I don't have a complaint in the world. I am truly a child of God and I love my Lord so much. He has righted all my wrongs.
When you realize how powerful he is and understand his width, you understand that the wind and the waves obey him. That's our Lord y'all! God is good all the time!
